ABOUT LIZ

Liz Mitten Ryan is a dedicated conservationist and true philanthropist. She has worked with conservation groups throughout the world bringing awareness to areas and species in need of protection. Liz has had many achievements throughout her career as a wildlife artist, including being declared National Artist for Ducks Unlimited 4 years in a row, Artist of the Year for BC Wildlife Federation for 2 years, one of 4 artists commissioned by the Canadian Mint to submit entries for the two dollar coin and winner of the Habitat Canada conservation stamp.

 

Liz's work is owned by various well known collectors such as former British Columbia Premiers Mike Harcourt and Glen Clark, Maurice Strong, West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd., former Vice President of the United States Al Gore and England’s Prince Phillip. 

 

Below is a picture of her painting of the Tatshenshini River being presented to Premier Harcourt when the area was protected and of her art show at the Vancouver Aquarium to bring attention to the plight of whales and to help fund raise to keep whales out of captivity. Her work has been showcased in and on the cover of several art magazines.
